We spent 4 days learning about our new duties as Church History Missionaries
at the Church History Library, across the street north from the Church Office Building.

They trained us on using their equipment, recording oral histories,
digitizing artifacts, and uploading records into the archives.

They gave us a tour of records collection equipment, including this mega-scanner.
They can scan large items such as quilts!

The Church History Library displays original historic manuscripts
in the public access section.
In past years Jonathan has done many hours of research for his books in this library.

One bonus of the week: I got to reconnect with Abby Carlsruh House,
my first friend in Milwaukee back in 1964.
I had not seen her for 45 years!
